Denver Nuggets Storm Back, Beat Los Angeles Lakers on Jamal Murray's Buzzer-Beater
Crunch-Time Heroics Lead to Denver Victory
Denver, CO - The Denver Nuggets rallied back from a 20-point deficit to steal Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals from the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.
Trailing 89-81 with just over five minutes remaining, the Nuggets chipped away at the lead thanks to a series of clutch shots from Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. With just seconds left on the clock, Murray calmly drained a 15-foot fadeaway over Anthony Davis, giving the Nuggets a thrilling 103-101 victory.
Murray's buzzer-beater capped off a sensational 20-point comeback for the Nuggets, who were trailing by double-digits for much of the second half.
The Lakers, who were led by LeBron James' 27 points, will now head back to Los Angeles facing a 2-0 deficit in the series. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday night in Denver.
